What is full-service genealogical research

Full-service genealogical research is a professional project to reconstruct your family history with full support at every step. We start with analysing the information you already have and end with a complete family tree and a detailed report with references to original sources.

We take care of all work with archives and sources, relieving you from complex searches, queues and difficult wording in documents. You receive a clear result and can always see where each date, surname and place comes from.

How the research is carried out

  1. 1

    Consultation and research plan

    We discuss your goals, depth of research, geography and specific family branches. We review any documents and family information you already have and prepare a realistic work plan and indicative budget.

  2. 2

    Collecting initial information

    We help to collect and organise your home archive, record oral stories from relatives and build a starting family tree that will guide further research.

  3. 3

    Archival research

    We conduct research in state, regional and church archives, civil registry offices and institutional collections. If needed, we involve foreign archives and databases.

  4. 4

    Verification and reconstruction of the family

    We compare information from different sources, test hypotheses, resolve errors and inconsistencies. Step by step we restore family links across generations, creating a coherent picture of your family.

  5. 5

    Presenting the results

    We prepare the family tree, a detailed written report with references to records and sources, copies of archival documents and biographical notes about your ancestors.

What you receive as a result

By the end of the research you receive:

  • a documented and verified history of your family;
  • a clear and understandable structure of the family by generations;
  • materials prepared for archiving, printing or sharing with your family;
  • a solid basis for a family book, album or further research.

What the result looks like

We do not publish personal client reports or show their documents. Instead, we share here a fragment from a publicly available book written by our colleague, based on archival sources and real genealogical research. This example clearly illustrates the structure, level of detail and style of materials that clients receive at the end of an individual project.

Additional options

You can extend the research with additional services:

  • preparation of a family book or album with photos and stories;
  • description of the historical context: wars, migrations, everyday life;
  • DNA genealogy and interpretation of DNA test results;
  • individual consulting on how to continue research on your own.

A family story as a gift

The research can be prepared as a special gift for an anniversary, family reunion or other important occasion. We can help turn documents and charts into a living and engaging family story.

Who this service is for

  • for those who want to know their family history beyond just a few surnames;
  • for those who value accuracy, archival confirmation and clear reporting;
  • for those who want to preserve family memory and pass it on to children and grandchildren;
  • for families planning a family book, anniversary celebration or reunion.

If you already have some materials about your family (records, extracts, memories), we will carefully integrate them into the overall picture and complement them with new findings from archives.
