This page brings together real projects from our work: searches based on only a few starting details, reconstruction of family lines, archival discoveries, and stories that were brought to a clear and practical result.
Every project begins differently. Sometimes a family has only oral memories. Sometimes there is just one document, a surname, or an approximate place of residence. Our task is to turn those fragments into a clear and documented family story.
Here we have collected several different scenarios: a literary search, archival reconstruction of a family line, the search for a military burial site, and the verification of a hypothesis connected with a rare surname. Together they show what genealogical work looks like in practice.
Four different starting points, four different types of result, but the same research logic throughout: gather evidence carefully and bring the search to a clear conclusion.
Literary history
From a few initials and one surname
A museum legend about Maksim Bogdanovich meeting the mysterious M. A. Kititsyna grew into a full research project with family reconstruction, key archival records, and contact with descendants.
Result: more than a century later, Maria Aleksandrovna Kititsyna was identified and the story gained a real human face.

From an archival record to a place on the map
Military records, archival databases, and an official reply from the cemetery administration made it possible to trace the burial history and confirm the exact location of the mass grave.
Result: the family received the exact burial place and was able to visit the grave in person.

When only general memories survive
A case showing how a small amount of starting information can still lead to an archival record, an identified locality, and documentary confirmation of a family line.
Result: the family story received archival confirmation and became much clearer for the client.

Rare surname
Sometimes the key is ruling out the wrong branch in time
An archival file with an autobiography, address, and photographs did not confirm the family line directly, but it helped eliminate a false lead and gave the next stage of research a much firmer base.
Result: the search area became much narrower and the following work could continue more precisely.
